Eyes up! As the Indy HPDE rapidly approaches, have a look through the turn and note that MORPCA’s Fall Spectacular DE is also coming up quickly – just a month away.  So…    You’ve tried cold, you’ve tried wet, and you’ve tried hot and flat.  Now try PERFECT! If you were with us last year, you already know how true that can be.

This is a fully instructed HPDE event for ALL EXPERIENCE LEVELS, including beginners and even “the curious” – literally something for everyone.

We start off on FRIDAY with an open lapping day for qualified drivers:  Instructors, Advanced and Intermediate solo drivers having at least 20 track days and on-track experience with PCA expanded passing protocols.  To capitalize on our track time, we’re anticipating running two groups: LP/Stock and HP/Track. So there will be a magnificent amount of track time for all participants. You’ll want to be sure to have plenty of brake pad and fresh fluid at the start of the day! And close the day out with some snacks, a cool beverage, and of course considerable amounts of conversational exaggeration.

SATURDAY & SUNDAY will host the traditional HPDE event format for drivers of all experience levels, and for any make of passenger car (some restrictions regarding open top, high center-of-gravity and fenderless vehicles; all vehicles will be scrutinized thoroughly during tech inspection). Beginners will receive important classroom instruction covering DE procedures, safety and vehicle dynamics to complement their on-track experiences. Novice through Advanced groups will receive classroom or group coaching with session downloads appropriate to the experience levels of the drivers. During a part of the Saturday lunch hour, Parade laps will be available – show your kids, friends or significant others a view of Mid-Ohio that spectators never see.

The HPDE registration portal and more information is available at https://clubregistration.net

Mid-day SUNDAY we will offer a DE LITE experience: approximately four hours devoted to instruction on track protocols and DE procedures; laps driven by the participant with an instructor highlighting track layout, features and challenges; and a dedicated session riding at “track speed”  with an instructor.  If you know someone who thinks (s)he might like to try HPDE, this is a perfect way test the water. More information specific to DE Lite is available at:

A block of rooms is being held at Quality Inns and Comfort Inns in Belleville (419-886-7000). Be sure to mention “Porsche Club” to get our group rate. Note: the refresh of all rooms is now complete, and all have refrigerators, microwaves and free wifi.

Additional information will be posted to the Event Files section at Club Registration.
